A Raucous 4th
I went to my Aunt’s cabin for the 4th of July. My Aunt, cousin A, her husband, and a few of the grandkids were there.
And of course with the music, you had to have some dancing.

It’s getting to that end of year time when we start to think about another year gone by. We wonder what next year will be like and what we want it to be like. What do we need to do or change to make next year better than this year? But I don’t know, 2015 was pretty good.
Well, the weather was not so bad today but housecleaning called. My friends have this thing about food textures that bug them; I can’t comprehend this. But I’m that way about my house. Grit crunching underfoot is like biting into tinfoil with fillings! And the Java hair floats everywhere! It lands in sinks! On tables!…
I cannot know what this time, this circumstance, a loss, a gain is going to mean to the entirety of my life. Why do I waste so much time resisting my circumstances instead of looking with eyes that see neither negative or positive but just go ahead and live each moment as though it is…
“That some good can be derived from every event is a better proposition than that everything happens for the best, which it assuredly does not.” — James K. FeiblemanI’m watching a movie “Home for Christmas” about a woman that’s living the good life until her husband decides to boot her to the curb and get…
It was a frosty fairy tale morning. So pretty. Good thing that something is pretty out there because my gas bill sure wasn’t. Doubled!!! I think I had a gas leak on the gas line going to the outdoor grill that probably took me awhile to detect and then another while to find the valve…
The weather here has been hot and humid. I hate humidity. Besides making you feel swampy as soon as you step outside, it brings on migraines for me. So I’ve been pretty miserable all week, until last night anyway, when some cooler, dryer air moved in. But when I rode Luke yesterday, it was still…

Amazing! A boat parade…looks like a wonderful time. Your pictures turned out great.
Wow, the boats are really something…looks like good times!!!
Those are some seriously cool boats! That looks like so much fun. The water balloon fight sounds like a blast! We would do that when we go river rafting. Sure helps to cool down on a hot day!
Glad the horses made it through ok! Mine get pretty freaked out. But we stay home to keep an eye on them.
I grew up on a lake and loved it, but the boat parades were not that unique! Looks like a fun place.
OMG– I’m so jealous! That’s the most awesome 4th EVER! (Giving me ideas for the floatilla next year!)
The boats were a lot of fun this year. It seemed like the water fights were a lot more ingenious this year.
Sue – I’m wondering if your planning on using some of the boat decor or incorporating the water cannons into the floatilla. It’s a good way to cool off. Unfortunately, the paper mache fish hats and hollywood glamorama would not hold up so different costumes would be in order.
