30 Days of Something
It seems like so many people are doing 30 days of something. I’ve done my own stints of 30 days of yoga, 30 days of bicycling, 30 days of meditation, 30 days of poetry, and so on. 30 days sounds doable. And if you can hang in there for 30 days, there’s a promise, implied…
Sightseeing and Ingenuity at Its Best
It was kind of a lazy day today. I went to church in the morning. Came home and had lunch. Then put the tarp I bought yesterday on the kennel. I fixed a tire on this thing. I’ve been waiting about three years to get this tire fixed. No one but me to fix it…
Warning – Negative Mood, Frustration, and Anger Lie Ahead
At this time of year, I am usually, like everyone else, thinking about what I want to accomplish in the New Year. But when I try to look forward in time, without someone to share the day to day stuff and the bigger hopes and dreams, it all seems pretty pointless. Being in the moment is…
Maery, You Are So Funny!
Ya know, lately, I have a lot of people laugh at something I’ve said and after they’re done laughing they’ll say, “Maery, you are so funny!” It’s a little disconcerting when my comment was actually made in all seriousness. But the latest person to say “you’re so funny” to me was the woman cutting my hair…
Just a Few Hurdles
How exciting! I saw the sun today! I am so happy!!! The day started out at 27 degrees and it was dark when I cleaned stalls and fed the horses. Java checked out the fresh mud. The sun was peeking out as I hung out the laundry. I tried to capture the steam coming off…

This is beautiful Maery, I love Emylou…and you’re back!
Beautiful song which touched my heart. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Have a wonderful week!!! :o)
I’m too weepy to listen, so I’ll take your word for it.
Maery Rose, I am a cowgirl & have loved this peace of music by Emmylou. I raised this special Arabian who had been the horse I’d always wanted. We remained companions for 22 yrs, & altho’ I wished for many more, my boy was stricken w/illness and passed 11/09. My heart took months to recover & I will always miss him. All God’s creatures return to Him, so I pray someday he & I will meet again. Today I’m OK & T’ remains forever in my heart. Just thought I’d share.
