The Holidays Approacheth
my Willow girl I’m wondering what kinds of traditions people have for the holidays? Especially anyone who doesn’t have their family nearby. Fortunately, most of the people who read this blog don’t appear to be in that situation. My family has traditions like measuring noses to see whose nose is the biggest. It’s not mine!…
What I Cannot Change
I was reading Copper Pony’s Cowgirl’s blog and a song by LeAnn Rimes happened to be playing called “What I Cannot Change”. It brought tears to my eyes. Not looking for that reaction from you, but I think it’s a beautiful song. I hope you enjoy it. If you liked the song, I’d suggest also…

Cutting Big
Number 1 rule of surgery is limit exposure – keep your hands clean, your incision small and your wounds covered. Number 2 rule of surgery is that if rule number 1 stops working, try something else. Because sometimes you can’t limit exposure. Sometimes the injury is so bad that you have to cut and cut…

Choices: Whether I Want Them or Not
“Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.” — Helen Keller I started to get down in the dumps again today…

Drivel
Today has been a tough day. I was writing a post about my old dog, Willow, but couldn’t summon the energy or feeling to make it work. I’m so worried about screwing up at my job right now. I work as part of a team to implement a new software system throughout the company. Our…

This is beautiful Maery, I love Emylou…and you’re back!
Beautiful song which touched my heart. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Have a wonderful week!!! :o)
I’m too weepy to listen, so I’ll take your word for it.
Maery Rose, I am a cowgirl & have loved this peace of music by Emmylou. I raised this special Arabian who had been the horse I’d always wanted. We remained companions for 22 yrs, & altho’ I wished for many more, my boy was stricken w/illness and passed 11/09. My heart took months to recover & I will always miss him. All God’s creatures return to Him, so I pray someday he & I will meet again. Today I’m OK & T’ remains forever in my heart. Just thought I’d share.
