Here We Snow Again
Okay, I rarely post more than once a week anymore, but I can not keep such weather joy to myself. I must share! My drive home from work:
In wood and water, earth and air,
A silence everywhere.
— Loreena McKennitt, “Snow”
Okay, I rarely post more than once a week anymore, but I can not keep such weather joy to myself. I must share! My drive home from work:
I watched Java walk past me for the tenth time as I listened to the rhythmic sound of paw, toenail drag; paw, toenail drag. Then silence. Java stands, nose to the wall, staring. I wait for her to whisper “open sesame” and for the wall to comply and let her through. But soon the paw,…
I was trying to get the kitchen painted this morning, but Java was not cooperating. Her whining was getting on my nerves so I finished taping around the woodwork in the kitchen and decided to take a walk break
How exciting! I saw the sun today! I am so happy!!! The day started out at 27 degrees and it was dark when I cleaned stalls and fed the horses. Java checked out the fresh mud. The sun was peeking out as I hung out the laundry. I tried to capture the steam coming off…
Oh, Baby, Baby I love my new baby Not this baby Although I love her too But this baby Newest addition to my family She is flippin’ fast Zoom! Zoom! Whirrrr! Bling! Blang! Capturing my heart moments Freezing wonder Sometimes in midair She is very mysterious I’m devilishly striving To discover How to push her…
I’ve been obsessively writing for a few weeks. I’ve entered a secret world of words that I can get lost in for hours. Picture some kind of matrix scene where probes are attached to my head and I’m twitching and people are shaking me and yelling, “Maery! Maery! Wake up!”
Oh, how the perception of time changes over a lifetime. Right now, I feel as if I’m in a race against the ticking of the body-break-down and death clock. Which is actually two clocks. In two different time zones. Hopefully.
